The Training & Courses Committee organises events on behalf of the GSCCA; this includes all of the GSCCA’s training courses and promotional activity as well as the annual quiz.
The Committee organises the following types of training events:
- Annual courses on accounting and auditing standards and taxation
- Annual fund update courses (jointly with the Guernsey International Fund Association)
- Lunchtime presentations on topical issues as well as technical subject matter
- Meetings providing updates on local financial legislation
The Committee also co-ordinates the GSCCA's efforts to promote accountancy as a career. This includes visiting schools and attendance at the annual Careers Convention.
The Committee welcomes suggestions for improvements to established activity as well as ideas for new events.
